Requirements for all ACD activities (updated 2/16/23):

  • Please treat all skaters, volunteers, and other attendees with respect.

  • UPDATE 2/16/23: In accordance with local and federal guidelines, masking is now optional but recommended for ACD practice and games. ACD Leadership will continue to have masks on hand for anyone who would like to wear one.

    • Please be prepared to wear a mask in any indoor spaces (i.e. bathroom locations) if requested by venue staff.

  • An active WFTDA insurance policy is required for contact skating of any kind.

  • Full vaccination is required for participation in any ACD activity.

    • To fulfill this requirement, you must have received two doses of the Pfizer or Moderna vaccines or one dose of the Johnson & Johnson vaccine a minimum of two weeks prior to the derby event.

    • If you have a valid medical or religious exemption for vaccinations, please email leadership@angelcityderby.com with your exemption information.

    • Children ages 5 and younger are exempt from the vaccination requirement. If you plan to bring an unvaccinated child under age 5 to an ACD event, please see the guidelines below for more information.

  • The attendance form and screening questions must be completed before you are allowed entrance to the facility.

    • Screening questions may be completed in advance to streamline entrance to an event. Please complete the screening questionnaire no earlier than the day of the event to ensure that the data is as accurate as possible.

  • Unvaccinated children under age 5 must remain 6 feet away from others at all times.

    • We will establish designated areas for children to spend time during the activity.

    • If possible, please email Leadership at leadership@angelcityderby.com if you are planning to bring an unvaccinated child to an ACD activity so we can ensure that they have the space to be in the venue safely.

  • A COVID Safety Person will be in attendance at all ACD events to ensure that participants are in compliance with ACD’s COVID safety procedures and rules.

  • Please be advised that the above guidelines may change at any time in accordance with CDC guidelines. We recommend checking this page frequently to see what the current COVID-19 safety guidelines are for ACD activities.

Recommendations for ACD activities:

  • Regular testing, especially if you attend a large event or travel out of state.

  • Booster shots for the COVID-19 vaccination, as recommended by the CDC.

  • N95, KN95, or surgical style masks are recommended over cloth masks or gaiters.

Other Important Information:

  • Participants who do not follow the guidelines may be asked to leave the event.

    • Drop-in fees, if collected, will not be refunded if a skater is asked to leave for this reason.

    • Members of Leadership and/or the COVID Safety Person have the authority to execute this rule.

  • Angel City Derby is not liable for any exposure to COVID-19 that may occur as a result of an ACD activity.
