Ruedas y Recuerdos
Wheels & Memories
A Community Roller Derby Ofrenda
En memoria de quienes rodaron antes que nosotros.
In memory of those who rolled before us.
This Día de los Muertos, we invite the roller derby community to come together in remembrance and celebration of those we have lost.
Ruedas y Recuerdos is a community ofrenda honoring the skaters, officials, coaches, volunteers, announcers, photographers, fans, supporters, chosen family, and loved ones who have left their mark on our lives and our roller derby community.
HELP US BUILD THE OFRENDA
All leagues, teams, crews, generations, and members of the derby community are invited to participate.
Bring something meaningful to add to our shared ofrenda, such as:
📸 Photographs
🛼 Derby memorabilia: wheels, patches, bout programs, armbands, helmet covers, retired gear, etc.
💌 Written memories, notes, or messages
🌼 Marigolds or other flowers
🎨 Artwork or handmade memorial pieces
🏅 Keepsakes or meaningful personal items
🍬 Favorite treats or other traditional offerings (battery-powered candles are ok, no open flames allowed)
Your loved one did not need to play roller derby to be included. Friends, family, chosen family, fans, and those who supported us on and off the track are welcome on our ofrenda.
