The First All-Asian Roller Derby Tournament

Celebrate Lunar New Year like you never have before!

Rice Bowl makes history as the first all-Asian athlete roller derby tournament, bringing together skaters representing Asian and Asian-diasporic national teams for a full day of high-energy competition and community celebration.

This one-day tournament features seven games showcasing talent from across multiple national and cultural teams, including Team Philippines, Team Vietnam, Chinese Nations Roller Derby, Team Japan, Team Korea, Team Taiwan, Team Desi, and SALAAM Roller Derby. Expect fast game play, fierce match ups, and a powerful celebration of representation on the track.

Doors open: 12:00 PM
First Whistle: 1:00 PM
20-minute breaks between games unless noted

  • Game 1 (1:00 – 1:30 PM)

  • Game 2 (1:50 – 2:20 PM)

  • Game 3 (2:40 – 3:10 PM)

  • Game 4 (3:30 – 4:00 PM)

  • Officials Break (4:00 – 4:30 PM)

  • Game 5 (4:30 – 5:00 PM)

  • Game 6 (5:20 – 5:50 PM)

  • Game 7 – Full-Length Regulation Game (6:00 – 7:30 PM)

VIP tickets include a reserved Adirondack chair, food and drink vouchers, and exclusive Angel City Derby swag.

  • All tickets are $2 more expensive at the door.

  • Street parking is limited—ride-share strongly encouraged.

  • Venue is ADA accessible with designated seating & parking (first come, first served).

  • Group discounts of $5 off per ticket are available for 10+ tickets. Email events@angelcityderby.com for details.

  • No outside food, drinks, or chairs. ID is required for the purchase of alcohol.

  • Angel City Derby reserves the right to refuse admission or remove anyone for inappropriate behavior, security risks, or violation of event rules.
