Angel of the Month, November – Psycho!

Tough as nails and sweet as sugar. She’ll knock you over with the force of an all-star and melt your heart with the smile of an angel. We can’t help but feel “parental pride” for our Junior turned Hollywood Scarlet and November’s Angel of the Month Psycho!

Psycho came to Angel City Junior Derby in 2015 with a wealth of knowledge and experience having skated with California Mayhem, San Fernando Valley Juniors and the LADD Riettes. Her talent and leadership skills shined bright and it is safe to say we couldn’t wait to see what she could bring to ACD once the time came. In April of 2017, Psycho aged up and quickly earned her spot on Angel City Derby’s Travel Team.

As a skater and teammate, Psycho is exemplary. Hardworking and enthusiastic she is open to taking on any role in the pack and always steps up to the track with confidence, infectious joy and instrumental support. She has been fundamental in orchestrating team fundraisers to help the Travel Team achieve their travel goals for playoffs and Champs. An all-around badass and a total sweetheart, the love expressed by Psycho’s teammates is heart-warming.

Invaluable to her team, Psycho is just as priceless to the league as a whole. She takes time out of her busy schedule as a full time university student to serve as an amazing coach and trainer. Psycho has helped develop the talents of our Juniors and Rising Stars and often lends her time to help train and coach the Rookies, Ragers and Shots.

Psycho has a clear calling for nurturing and guiding young skaters and up-and-comers. A natural born leader, she will be taking on the role of co-head of the Angel City Juniors alongside her teammate, Death Down Under. We are beyond gracious for her contribution and devotion to helping build a stronger future for our league by re-vamping our foundation through the Juniors Program.

We can’t help but feel a little sentimental and sappy as we honor this amazing skater and league member. Watching Psycho go from a young Junior to a wise-beyond her years Travel Team skater and leader has us feeling all kinds of league pride. Thank you, Psycho, for embodying excellence in athleticism and teamwork. We are grateful to have you as our November Angel!
Don’t miss Psycho as she takes the track with the Hollywood Scarlets at Champs in New Orleans, Louisiana, November 9-11! You can watch live on https://wftda.tv/.
