Angel City Derby Girls (ACDG) is Los Angeles’ only internationally ranked competitive Women’s Flat Track Roller Derby League. After years of operating very similarly to anon-profit organization, Angel City Derby Girls LLC has successfully been re-incorporated as Angel City Derby Girls, Inc., a 501(c)3 non-profit, charitable organization.

In addition to this momentous change for the organization, Spring 2015 has also brought establishment of their long-awaited Junior Derby program, Angel City Junior Derby (ACJD) for young ladies age 7-17. ACJD aims to develop future leaders of the sport, and mirror the adult program by creating the the opportunity to play the most competitive roller derby in the nation, as well as recreational non-competitive play opportunities. Girls will learn to be leaders and team players and build confidence in girls that will contribute to other areas of their lives, such as school and in their community.

Angel City Derby is a group of nearly 200 dedicated athletes and volunteers who have come together in a grass-roots effort to organize a democratic, DIY, member-driven and operated roller derby league. As the league continues to expand with the offering of Junior membership, they expect to see growth in overall membership and volunteers.

ACDG will be hosting its final public event of the Spring Season on Saturday, May 30, 2015 in Culver City. This event will be a double header featuring the undefeated Rocket Queens taking on the San Diego Wildfires, with an opening game featuring the Rising Stars vs. the Whine Makers from Temecula, Ca. Come support local roller derby, and this exciting women’s organization!
